It all started in the midst of a simple vision of ingenious and faithful volunteerism to our Filipino community in United Arab Emirates. With the divine leadership of our Almighty God. Nine (9i²) ingenious, unselfish, true to themselves, equipped with genuine fortitude and spirit of volunteerism-in-their-hearts, professional and computer expert individuals, come forward for a splendid mission. In an effort to provide a truthful meaning of noble volunteerisms to Filipino community as a whole in the UAE, they have joined collectively to put up a marvelous and painstaking exertion to form an association where all Filipino computer enthusiasts can gather and share ideas and computer proficiencies to achieve a dignified-goal of free digital literati and competency to further cultivate the hidden talents of Filipinos and advance our horizons for the greater betterment of every Filipino.

Outfitted with a highest standard of team works, professionalisms and computer expertise; the (9i²) has managed to established Filipino Digerati Association (FDA). Its existence in UAE was through a simple founding Execom's oath taking ceremony held at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai on the 28th December 2007. It has been a dream-come-true to the people whose fervent vision is to extend free professional assistance to our countrymen.

With that, Filipino Digerati Association was borne and formally established on 29th December 2007., and operating under the aegis of the Philippine Embassy, Philippines Consulate General, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, (OWWA), Workers Resource Center - Dubai and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO).
